The proposed site for a Taco Bell restaurant in Haverhill has gone up for rent.
Plans were given the go-ahead to convert the former William Hill bookmakers, at 47 High Street, into the US chain's third branch in Suffolk earlier this year.
The proposed new business would be open from 11am until 11pm every day and employ 20 staff.
However, the store appears to have been put up for rent, having been advertised on the website EG Property Link by Four Prop.
According to the listing, it would cost £35,000 per annum to rent.
It adds that it has planning permission for a restaurant and hot food takeaway.
The fast-food giant also a restaurants in Lowestoft as it has expanded in the UK in recent years.
A restaurant is also planned to open in Ipswich, but work on the scheme at Retail Anglia Parkway South has been delayed and the first customers are expected to be welcomed in the new year.
Taco Bell has been approached for comment.
