Flood alerts and warnings have been issued for most of Suffolk after torrential rain. 

The Environment Agency's alert, which covers the whole of the Suffolk coast and some inland areas such as Ipswich, Lavenham and Higham, is in place for the whole of Sunday. 

Flooding is possible during this time, and people local to the affected areas are asked to monitor local water levels and weather conditions and avoid using low-lying footpaths or entering areas prone to becoming submerged under water. 

Suffolk was battered by strong winds and heavy rain overnight. 

It has left a number of roads impassable as a result of flooding. 

Mill Lane in Creeting St Mary is currently closed after becoming impassable. 

It comes after Storm Babet brought strong winds and torrential rain to Suffolk last week. 

A major incident was declared on Friday after Storm Babet swept through the county with heavy rain causing severe flooding across Suffolk.
