A new crazy golf experience that is set to open its doors in a west Suffolk town next month has requested council permission to serve alcohol on its premises.

Sneaky Links will open its doors in Brentgovel Street in Bury St Edmunds in November, the first of its kind in the town.

The nine-hole course has been created by owner Ben Cunningham, who is the founder of the town's first escape room, The Evidence Room.

In a licencing application to West Suffolk Council, which is currently in its consultation period, Mr Cunningham has asked for permission to serve alcohol on the premises between 12pm and 9.30pm, every day of the week.

In the application, Mr Cunningham stated that Sneaky Links would be complete with a bar which would serve cans of alcohol.

The licensing application is out for consultation and representations can be made in writing to West Suffolk Council or by email to licensing@westsuffolk.gov.uk, by November 24.

Sneaky Links will open in the former Revel Outdoors cycling store.

An official opening date is yet to be announced.
