A housebuilder has announced it has acquired new land as part of a 141-home development in west Suffolk.

Crest Nicholson, the company behind the Kings Warren site in Red Lodge, between Mildenhall and Newmarket, has acquired new land for the 14-acre development, which will bring 141 new homes, 30% of which will be affordable, to the area.

The homes will range from two to four bedrooms and work is anticipated to begin this month, with residents expected to move in from May 2024.

The new development will include green open space and a woodland area, as well as education facilities and a library.

Karen Coulson, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Eastern, said: “We're pleased to announce this acquisition in Suffolk, enabling us to respond to local demand for high quality new homes in the area.

"Kings Warren is already a thriving community and a popular area thanks to the range of amenities that are easily accessible within the wider Red Lodge development, including a primary school, sports pavilion, and allotments."
