A motorcyclist in his 20s has died after a two-vehicle crash in Elveden.

Emergency services were called to the B1106 at about 5.55am on Thursday after reports of a collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, died at the scene, Suffolk police confirmed.

A volunteer paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

The road was shut between Brandon and the A11 while an investigation was carried out, but reopened at about 1pm.

Police have now launched an appeal to speak to anyone who may have been driving on the B1106 or was in the area at the time of the crash between the motorcycle and the Vauxhall.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the area in west Suffolk on Thursday morning.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting CAD 38 of November 2.
