An inquest has opened into the death of a man from Brandon whose body was found in a river.
The body of Kurtiss Jenkins was discovered by members of the public in Bury St Edmunds on the morning of Friday, April 28.
The court heard that Mr Jenkins, 28, may potentially have fallen in the river running alongside the nature reserve behind Ram Meadow football grounds.
A member of the public called the emergency services after discovering Mr Jenkins in the water.
Police arrived on the scene and pulled Mr Jenkins from the river. They attempted to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at 11.20am.
A full inquest into the death of Mr Jenkins has been adjourned until January 11.
A case review will be carried out on November 28.
