A flood warning has been issued for part of Suffolk as the county continues to tackle the aftermath of Storm Ciarán.

The Environment Agency has issued a warning for those living along the River Stour between Boxsted and Dedham, with Stratford St Mary and Dedham the areas most at risk.

This follows a series of 14 flood alerts that were put in place overnight for the county after Storm Ciarán battered the county on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

A flood warning means that the area is expected to flood, and is an escalation of a flood alert.

The Environment Agency has issued some advice, encouraging those living in the area to turn off their water, gas and electricity, move things upstairs, and move their family, pets and cars to safety.

There is no indication how long the warning will be in place, but the area is being monitored by the Environment Agency.
