A photographer has captured a stunning picture of the Northern Lights above Suffolk during a fireworks display.

Jackie Gillman-Dace, of Stanton near Bury St Edmunds, was photographing her family fireworks on Saturday when she got an alert on her phone that the Aurora Borealis may be visible.

The photographer said she took some long exposure shots, before striking lucky with one image.

She previously captured the Northern Lights in February.

Sightings of the phenomenon have become more common in Suffolk, despite them being typically seen in the Arctic Circle.
