Two homes could be built in the garden of a property in a mid Suffolk village if plans before a council are given the go ahead.

Outline permission is sought from Mid Suffolk District Council for two homes to be built on garden land at 2 School House in Straight Road, Battisford.

The homes, which would be built on 0.15 hectares of land, would be complete with a garage and two parking spaces.

The site is described as Grade 3 Agricultural land and its use is private amenity land.

Applicants Mr E. Balaam and Mr C. Chester are also seeking full planning consent for a proposed access road, which would come from Straight Road and would be shared between the two new homes and the existing 2 School House.

A pair of new parking spaces would also be created for the existing home in the plans.

The village of Battisford is located around four miles south of Stowmarket, and two miles west of Needham Market.
