A spokesman for Suffolk police said that a person was trapped in a car and that the large emergency service presence had rendered the road impassable.
Two fire crews - one from Woodbridge and one from Princes Street - worked to free the person.
The ambulance service assessed the people involved in the crash but decided that those involved did not need any further medical assistance.
The incident has been cleared and traffic is moving freely.
