A crystal shop that has appeared on The Only Way Is Essex has opened its third store in a Suffolk town.

Kenny Long and his sister Julia Long opened The Angel Shop in Braintree seven years ago, and the business has quickly grown into the three-store crystal and wellness empire that exists today.

"It has been fantastic," said Mr Long, who runs the new Sudbury store with his partner, Hattie Ord.

"We always had a lot of people travelling from around Sudbury to our Essex shops.

"We expanded to help our customers out.

"People like to pick their own crystals, as you choose the crystal that you are most drawn to, and you do not have the same experience shopping online as you do in the store."

The Sudbury branch of The Angel Store opened on North Street Parade at the end of October.

The company sells a range of wellness and metaphysical products, including holistic candles, oil burners, divination products and a range of fossils and crystals.

Mr Long was an officer for the Met Police for 10 years before opening the first shop with his sister.

"I got into fossils after hunting for them on the beach with my brother growing up," he explained.

"We found a shark tooth once and I found that really exciting."

The shop makes sure that it only sells the best, most sustainably sourced crystal products.

He said: "Our crystals are all fairly sourced, and my sister Julia and I travel around visiting the mines to make sure that the right money is going to the right people - we have been as far as Brazil to find the right product.

"It is so nice to meet people and see the difference that our products are making in their lives."

Kenny Long and his sister Julia have celebrity clientele, and even appeared on the most recent series of The Only Way Is Essex themselves as they massaged some of the stars during an episode.

The Sudbury branch of The Angel Shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5.30pm.
