Fresh plans for homes behind a Suffolk village pub have been submitted for the seventh time.
CPC LTD, on behalf of Cordage 44 Limited, has applied to erect houses on an unused plot behind the Six Bells in Felsham, near Bury St Edmunds.
According to documents submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council, two three-bedroom homes would be built on the land at the rear of the premises.
The site is currently unused by the pub and poses "a financial burden on the public houses."
A design and access statement said: "The proposals will see this area of land regenerated and made more attractive through a programme of sensitive development and effective landscaping.
"Small-scale development is essential for ensuring the long-term viability of villages and their services."
The homes would be accessed through the pub car park.
Six previous applications to build on the site have been refused due to the impact it would have on the conservation area the pub sits in.
Addressing these issues, the applicant has reduced the size of the houses from four bedrooms to three.
