Long Melford, near Sudbury, is one of the county's up and coming foodie destination and is becoming a real hotspot for visitors.

Cafés and tearooms
The village is home to a number of lovely cafés and tearooms.
Most of the businesses are family run and have a real warm and welcoming feeling.
Since the start of the year a number of café have opened up along the village high street, including Ivy and Bond, Hygge and Long Melford Tea Room.
Richard and Lisa Fenn opened their dream business Long Melford Tea Room in March this year.
Walks
There are a number of amazing walks in and around Long Melford.
The old railway walk between Long Melford and Sudbury is a great place to get some steps in and take in the fresh air.
Linking the village to the market town, fallen leaves are scattered over the path – making it the perfect autumn picture.
While walking along the old railway you can also divert off and walk along the River Stour.
Stately homes and National Trust sites
Long Melford is home to two stately homes that has grounds that are open to the public.
Kentwell Hall and Melford Hall attract thousands of people each year.
Both sites regularly host events and are also great places to spend a day.
Pubs
You are never far from a pub in Long Melford, with almost 10 to choose from in the area.
The Black Lion was recently named one of the best places in the county for a roast dinner.
Describing the pub, the Muddy Stilettos said: "We love the family sharing roast concept here- a board of meats, lots of seasonal vegetables, nice big Yorkshires and crispy roasties, all served sharing style like you'd enjoy at home but with none of the washing up."
On the outskirts of the village is Nethergate Brewery.
The brewery also hosts a beer festival which sees hundreds of people from accross the county attend and enjoy a variety of beers, street food and live music.
Independent businesses
The village is full of independent businesses that you need to check out.
Whether that be bakeries, butchers or antique shops, there's plenty to discover in the area.
Melford Antiques, Interiors & Lifestyle Centre can be found in the Grade II listed Old Maltings in Hall Street.
The shop was named one of the best antique stores in the UK at a national awards ceremony.
Tanswell's Cakes also has a variety of sweet treats on offer.
