A large police presence was spotted in a west Suffolk town this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Suffolk police said officers were called to a convenience shop just before 2pm on Tuesday.
The spokesman said officers receieved reports that a man was making threats to staff.
Officers attended an address in Boby Road in Bury St Edmunds and detained a man.
The incident comes after police said they were attending a "serious incident" in nearby Newmarket on Tuesday.
