There was heavy traffic in Ixworth after an obstruction on the road.
The obstruction was reported on the A143 Stanton Road from Stow lane to the A1088 by the Walsham Road roundabout on Wednesday morning.
Traffic was building both ways on the A143 with commuters expecting delays.
Tailbacks heading towards Stanton were forming, causing delays for drivers.
The incident was first reported at 7.06am.
It is unknown if emergency services are on the scene.
