Police are appealing for witnesses to an attack in a Suffolk village last week that saw a sheep bludgeoned to death.
The incident happened in Middleton near Saxmundham at some point between 12noon on Wednesday, December 13, and 11am on Thursday, December 14 in a field near Mill Street.
The sheep was killed by a club hammer and taken away with the hammer left on the footpath.
Anyone who knows who was responsible or saw anything suspicious should contact police quoting crime number 37/72036/23.
