In one week's time, Christmas Day will be over and we'll be looking for something to do on Boxing Day. 

Here are seven events taking place on Boxing Day 2023 across Suffolk.

Walk with Christmas hats

Where: Nowton Park, Bury Road, Bury St Edmunds IP29 5LU

Cost: Free

Wear your best Christmas hats and spend some time walking through nature. 

Walking for Health Bury St Edmunds will meet in the park at 10am, with two walks available depending on ability. 

The group are also organising an end of the year walk in Newmarket on Friday, December 29. 

Charity Swim

Where: Moot Hall, Market Cross Place, Aldeburgh IP15 5DS

Cost: £10 donation

Staring at 11am on the beach opposite Moot Hall, the event is for swimmers who feel confident in cold water. 

This year they are raising money for the RNLI and Make a Wish foundation. 

Hot chocolate and snacks will be available after the event.

Where: Regent Theatre, St Helen's Street, Ipswich IP4 1HE

Cost: Starting from £15

There are still some tickets left to see a Boxing Day show of Sleeping Beauty at 1pm. 

The show stars soap icon Vicki Michelle as villainous Carbaosse and EastEnders newcomer Jazzy Phoenix as Princess Aurora. 

The show will have you smiling all the way through, our reviewer said.

Boxing Day Quiz Night

Where: The Railway Inn, Station Road, Framlingham IP13 9EA

Cost: £2 per person

Let the festive spirit continue with a quiz at the recently-reopened Railway Inn in Framlingham. 

Teams can include a maximum of six people as you answer questions to try and win.

Yule Feast

Where: Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge IP12 3DJ

Cost: £15 for adults and £7.50 for children

Immerse yourself in the High Hall exhibition and find out how the Anglo-Saxons celebrated at this time of year. 

Also, discover what Christmas for the archaeologists working at the dig site in the 1980s.

The event will be running until January 7, 2024 if you cannot make it on Boxing Day.

Ice Skating

Where: arc Shopping Centre, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3DG

Cost: Free

The synthetic skating rink gives visitors the chance to skate on real ice over the festive season. 

It is located in Charter Square and can have 25 skaters per session. 

Skating is completely free and can be done on Boxing Day or throughout December and into the new year. 

Aladdin Pantomime

Where: Marina Theatre, Lowestoft NR32 1HH

Cost: Starting from £12.95

Join the hero Aladdin as he soars through the skies in a quest for fortune and true love. 

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Robin Windsor stars in the role of the Genie, with Antony Sahota, from the competition Let it Shine, leading the cast.
