A cocaine dealer from Suffolk has been jailed for a range of drug and driving offences. 

Luis Hoxhaj, 23, of no fixed address in Stowmarket, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court to 20 months in prison on Thursday, December 20. 

On August 9 this year, Suffolk police stopped the car he was driving, a Renault Megane, on Thorney Way in Stowmarket, after he pulled out in front of two other vehicles.

A search was conducted of the car and four small bags containing cocaine were found in the boot.

Police also found £450 in cash in Hoxhaj's trouser pockets and a fifth bag of cocaine was uncovered from between the centre console of the car and the driver’s seat.

He was also unable to provide details of the owner of the Renault Megane, nor could he provide his licence, and was not showing as having car insurance.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and charged with possession with intent to supply drugs, driving with no licence or insurance and possession of criminal property, namely £450.

He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs, namely cocaine.
