A man has been left with cuts and bruises after an incident of assault and theft in a supermarket.
It took place on Wednesday, December 27 at the Co-op supermarket in Sizewell Road in Leiston.
The theft took place at 3.15pm when a male entered the store and took some items.

About 15 minutes later he assaulted a man, aged in his 40s, causing him cuts and bruises.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and released on bail until January 26 pending further enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact the police, quoting crime reference number 37/74368/23 for the theft and reference number 37/74368/23 for the assault.
