Suffolk Highways received reports of more than 100 fallen trees across Suffolk as strong winds battered the county during Storm Henk.

The Met Office initially issued a yellow weather warning for winds yesterday but this was upgraded to an amber warning as 70mph winds hit parts the county.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Suffolk Highways posted: "Following excessive winds during Storm Henk, we received over 100 reports of fallen trees yesterday.

"Our crews worked throughout the night and are continuing to respond to incidents across Suffolk today."

In Ipswich, a car was damaged after it was hit by a tree in Nacton Road last night. 

Suffolk Highways is continuing to advise people to drive with care due to debris on the road.
