A number of cars have been abandoned after drivers attempted to travel through a flooded road. 

Flordon Road in Needham Market is impassable as a result of days of extreme rainfall.

Eyewitnesses have said at least four cars have been abandoned in the road. 

Drivers are being asked to avoid driving through flood water. 

Recovery for the vehicles is taking place. 

A number of flood warnings have been put in place across the county after Suffolk was battered by Storm Henk. 

The Environment Agency issued six flood warnings on Friday morning for rivers in Suffolk, meaning flooding is expected. 

The River Gipping in Needham Market and Bramford, outside Ipswich, has been placed under a warning, as well as the River Lark, Stour Brook, near Haverhill, and Bumpstead Brook.
