Flooding is still expected in parts of Suffolk, as a warning remains in place.

Homes and businesses in north Suffolk in and around Mendham have been warned of potential flooding.

It comes after the county was battered by torrential downpours which led to a number of rivers bursting their banks.

Areas most at risk are riverside areas in Homersfield, Mendham and Scole.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "River levels are currently high, but are expected to start to drop back down over the next few days.

"The weather forecast is improving, and we expect levels to start returning to normal soon.

"The forecast is for predominantly dry conditions for the next few days with some isolated showers possible."
