Emergency services, including the coastguard helicopter, were called to reports of a missing person in a seaside town.
Police were alerted to Felixstowe seafront at about 8pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said officers were called to reports of a missing person.
The coastguard was also called after fears the person could have been in the water.
However, the missing person was found by Felixstowe Pier at about 10pm.
A spokeswoman for the coastguard said: "In response to a request for assistance from police, we sent Felixstowe and Holbrook coastguard rescue teams, Harwich RNLI lifeboat and an HM Coastguard helicopter."
