Debris was scattered across both sides of the A14 and affecting traffic in both directions.

Ambulance crews - including an air ambulance - were called to the scene, but the air ambulance was stood down when the injuries sustained did not appear to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A woman and child have been taken to hospital for further assessment and care.

Three fire crews - one from Bury St Edmunds and two from Newmarket - were also called to the scene.

Suffolk police used a rolling roadblock to clear the debris and the traffic on the A14 heading westbound, but traffic continues to queue in the eastbound direction while police work to clear the incident.
