An east Suffolk high school has announced it will be closing early due to a lack of water.
Thomas Mills High School, in Framlingham, will shut at 1pm on Thursday due to issues with water supply in the area.
A statement from Philip Hurst, the school's headteacher, explained there is a lack of water across the school's premises.
It read: "The reason is an increasing lack of water across the school.
"Repairs by Anglian Water at the Walpole Treatment Works are over running. It will also take time for water to come through to Saxtead, Dennington and Framlingham which have been affected.
"We apologise for closing the school early and have tried to balance the issues as best we could. The lack of water is affecting basic hygiene needs as well as the full operation of the canteen."
Students are advised to travel home as normal, with provisions for bus travel in place.
Households in Halesworth, Framlingham and surrounding villages awoke to no water on Thursday.
