A man wanted by police was arrested in a market town by plainclothes police.

Specialist officers from the Kestrel Proactive Crime Team (KPCT) were on patrol in Haverhill last night where they arrested two people.

A drunk and disorderly man required restraint and was subsequently arrested. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Station.

A wanted man was also arrested when local police happened upon him in the town centre.
