The EADT Business Awards 2024 are now open for entries, celebrating the passion and innovation shown throughout businesses and businesspeople in the county.
The Director of the Year award celebrates the inspiring individuals at the helm of businesses across Suffolk.
From ambitious entrepreneurs to seasoned business leaders, the award is a chance to recognise their personal achievements and overall contribution to business success.
The Churchmanor Estates Company plc is sponsoring the Director of the Year award for the third year running.
Head of communications Emma Proctor King is looking forward to being involved again in 2024.
“These awards are a chance to recognise and celebrate all of the fantastic businesses and individuals across the county and to acknowledge their outstanding achievements,” said Ms Proctor King.
“Last year’s entrants were all leaders in their field demonstrating a range of incredible skills, success and resilience.”
Ms Proctor King said she’ll be looking for a number of attributes in this year’s entrants.
“This award is all about the personality, drive, passion and proven results of one individual working to create success for not only themselves but also their business,” she said.
“We will be looking for someone who has skills that set them apart from the rest of the pack and is able to showcase the positive impact they have made on their business, the development of the company’s employees and their local community.”
Winning the Director of the Year award will not only benefit the individual who wins it, but also the business they represent, added Ms Proctor King.
“A business award win, shortlisting or nomination can act as a third-party endorsement for your business as well as giving a seal of approval to your activities for potential customers,” she said.
“In addition, it is a great way of differentiating your company from competitors.”

Criteria
Director of the Year is open to entrants of all levels within the business community. The winner may be a business leader who has worked in the industry for many years, or an entrepreneur who is accelerating their career with speed.
The judges will be looking for evidence of individuals who have implemented plans that ultimately achieved business growth.
