A man is being treated for serious injuries after he was hit by a car.
Essex police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a man at just after midday on Monday, January 29.
The serious collision happened on London Road in Stanway, on the outskirts of Colchester.
The pedestrian, a man, had sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he currently remains in stable condition.

The male driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been interviewed and has now been released under investigation.
London Road was partially closed throughout the afternoon and into the evening whilst specialist collision investigators worked to piece together the moments before the incident.
Police are looking for a man who witnessed the incident and helped the pedestrian in the moments following the crash and urge him to speak to them about the incident.
