The A14 was closed in both directions following a three-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the crash in the eastbound carriageway near Stowmarket at about 3.40pm on Wednesday. 

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said one of the drivers has been taken to hospital, although the extent of their injuries is unclear.

She also confirmed that a full closure had been put in place in the westbound carriageway. 

The road reopened in both directions at about 9pm.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances to the scene.
