Thousands of people use the Orwell Bridge in Ipswich every single day, but once upon a time it was not there.

Works first started on the A14 bridge in October 1979 and took three years to complete, when it was finally finished in 1982.

It is hard to think of a time without the Orwell Bridge over the river, but can you remember when it was built?
