A Suffolk county councillor has been suspended by the Conservative group at the authority after she called for resignations in the wake of a damning Ofsted report.
Sam Murray, who represents Whitehouse and Whitton in Ipswich, asked for resignations or sackings after a report into special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services in Suffolk was published.
In an opinion piece published by this newspaper, she said: "A political resignation or sacking needs to happen today. Who that is, I will leave to the conscience of the leader of the council.
"I am a Conservative councillor and part of the Conservative group. But above that I am a parent of SEND children that has been let down like many other families.
"My loyalty is with those families. If that means that I am now kicked out of the group for speaking the truth, then so be it."
The Conservative has confirmed on social media she has been suspended by her party.
"I do not regret a thing today," she said.
