From a luxury cinema experience to a restaurant serving authentic Greek food, here are five businesses opening in Suffolk this month.

1. Everyman

Where: Arc Shopping Centre, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3DG

Everyman cinema will open inside the former Debenhams at the arc Shopping Centre.

The venue will have 228 seats across three cinema screens and aims to bring a 'luxurious cinema experience' to the town. 

It is the first Everyman cinema in Suffolk and is set to open on Wednesday, February 14.

2. Asda Express

Where: Sproughton Road, Ipswich, IP1 5BL

Supermarket chain Asda confirmed a new store will be opening in Ipswich after a multi-million-pound investment. 

The new branch will open in Sproughton Road on Thursday, February 29. 

Andy Perry, Asda's vice president of convenience, said: "The teams have worked at pace to reach this point and we look forward to bringing Asda's quality and low prices to many more communities across the UK."

3. Pitta Gyro

Where: Station Road East, Stowmarket, IP14 1RQ

A new Greek restaurant will be serving authentic food such as gyros and souvlaki.

Gryos, pronounced 'Yee-ros', is a pitta bread stuffed with sliced meat cooked on a rotisserie and topped with other ingredients such as tomato, onion, fried potatoes and tzatziki.  

Pitta Gyro will be located on Station Road East in Stowmarket and they plan to be open in the first week of February.

4. Five Guys

Where: Cardinal Park, Ipswich, IP1 1AX

American burger chain Five Guys was first rumoured to be coming to Ipswich when jobs were listed on Indeed in August 2023. 

CEO John Eckbert said: "We're thrilled to be opening our thirteenth restaurant in the East of England and bringing our famous burgers to Ipswich."

It is set to open in Cardinal Park on Monday, February 19.

5. Cookie Barista

Where: Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, IP11 2EA

The café specialising in cookies, coffee and bubble tea will be opening along the Suffolk coast in Felixstowe. 

It is set to occupy the former Felixstowe Mobility Centre on Friday, February 9, and will be the business's third location in Suffolk. 

The cafe specialises in US-style large cookies and will be one of the first places in Felixstowe to offer bubble tea.
