A law firm has celebrated its expansion into Ipswich with a networking event for local businesses and professionals.
Fairweather Law moved into offices at 14 Museum Street in 2022 - enabling it to expand its business further across the region.
The firm - founded by Mark Fairweather - is now run by his son, Jack. It started out as Fairweather Stephenson in 1995 - but has grown significantly over the last 29 years.
It now has a workforce of 34 spread across the region - with offices in Framlingham Riverside and Well Close Square, Framlingham, and others in Aldeburgh, Leiston and Norwich.
In October 2023, its Riverside office flooded after Storm Babet struck. Its eight-strong workforce is currently working out of its other offices while the flood damage is repaired - but the team is expecting to return to the newly-revamped offices in March.
The move into Ipswich was a major milestone - and part of plans to extend the firm's reach across the region.
Operations manager Nicola Edgell said: "We opened in summer 2022 but have had an organic and natural growth. We wanted the opportunity to bring together local businesses across the region for meeting old friends and new.
"We are trying to bring life back into that part of Ipswich - it was a really positive event."
The event - attended by Ipswich mayor Lynne Mortimer and mayor consort James Hayward - included a wine tasting and an art exhibition showcasing the work of local artist Joanne Penfold.
Jack Fairweather said it was a celebration to officially mark the firm's expansion.
“We were thrilled to open our new Ipswich office in summer 2022,” he said.
"This marked a significant milestone for our firm, creating a flagship office in the county town and complementing our existing five offices across Suffolk and Norfolk.
"We take pride in extending our professional legal services to local communities, across the region, supporting both businesses and residents alike."
The firm offers specialist services in conveyancing, residential estate management, commercial property, landlord and tenant disputes and private client legal work including wills, probate, powers of attorney and court of protection.
