The UK's best gastropub in east Suffolk has received its second award for 2024 in what is shaping up to be an impressive year.

The Unruly Pig shot to the top of the headlines in January when Estrella Damm named it the 'UK's best gastropub' for the second time.

Now, the pub has received a 2024 Harden's certificate for the "very high quality food" that it serves.

The certificate of achievement comes from information taken during a diner survey, meaning that it is the visitors to the Bromeswell pub who have rated the food highly, scoring the quality a near-perfect four out of five.

The pub posted an image of the award on its social media channels.

Bookings rocketed at the pub following the winning of the Estrella Damm award.

"The phone has been ringing off the hook," said Brendan Padfield, owner of The Unruly Pig.

"Most people book online, and that has skyrocketed.

"This is no time for complacency.

"We need to be extra vigilant as people will have higher expectations of us.

"We will keep delivering high-quality food for our customers."
