A 20-year-old man from a village near Eye is to be tried for making and possessing indecent images of children and sexual videos involving animals.

Joshua Kleiser of Nuttery Vale, Hoxne, appeared at Suffolk Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with three counts of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child, one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child and one count of possessing extreme pornographic images with a dead or alive animal.

Kleiser did not enter a plea to the charges and asked for his case to be sent to Ipswich Crown Court.

The first count Kleiser is charged with is that on February 8 last year at Eye he made indecent photographs, namely 45 Category A images and 10 Category A movies, of a child.

The second is that on or before the same date at Eye he was in possession of a prohibited image of a child.

He is also accused of possessing extreme pornographic images, namely 17 movies which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with an animal.

The movies relate to animals described as a wallaby or kangaroo and a dog, which were grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.

He is also charged with making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child, including 33 Category B images and 5 Category B movies of a child.

In addition a further 26 Category C images and 17 Category C movies.

He is set to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on March 28.
