Plans to convert a former bank into a convenience shop have been submitted.
Babergh District Council has received plans to transform the Lloyds Bank/TSB on the corner of Market Place and High Street in Hadleigh.
Applicant Thurirajah Mukunthan is seeking permission to convert the ground floor of the premises, while a two-bedroom flat on the first floor would be retained.

The majority of the current internal layout would be kept the same, according to planning documents.
No changes would be made to the flat on the first floor.
An advertisement application for the site, submitted by Mr Mukunthn, was refused due to the potential harmful impact it would have on the conservation area the building is located in.

Documents put forward as part of the proposals showed the convenience store could be a Premier.
However, following discussions with planning officers, the application has since been altered.
A planning statement said: "The changes now proposed represent a positive enhancement, in respect of the relationship to neighbouring address."
