OEG Energy Group, a global offshore energy solutions business with offices in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, has made a number of new appointments to its leadership team.

The appointments will assist the growth of OEG Energy Group and its complementary business divisions, OEG Offshore and OEG Renewables.

Joanne Barbour has been appointed as group corporate development and M&A manager; Melanie Bruce as finance director for OEG Renewables; and Lisa Elrick as group sustainability manager.

They are joined by David Lipp as group financial controller and Leslie Scorgie as head of group QHSE (quality, health & safety, and environmental sustainability).

The new leadership team will report to CEO John Heiton, and recently appointed chief financial officer Doug Fleming and chief commercial officer David Carr.

In recent years, OEG has rapidly expanded both of its divisions through organic growth and acquisition, providing critical solutions for customers across traditional and renewable energy markets.

It recently completed the acquisition of Suffolk-based Offshore NRG (ONRG), which provides high-voltage (HV) project engineering services to the offshore and onshore energy industry.

OEG said its new group management team provides the appropriate structure to oversee the company's ambition to become a $1bn+ revenue business in the next few years.

John Heiton, OEG’s chief executive officer, said: "OEG has grown rapidly in recent years as we have consolidated our position as a market leader in offshore cargo units and diversified our business through the strategic growth of our Renewables division, which now represents 50% of Group revenue.

"We feel that now is the appropriate time to establish a new management structure that better reflects the scale, depth of service and strategic balance of the Group.

"We are fortunate to have access to such quality and experience across the key areas of finance, M&A, HSE and sustainability; all of which will play a pivotal role in OEG’s future.”
