A football fan from Suffolk has been banned from attending matches for three years and been fined more than £700 for throwing a missile onto a pitch and possessing a flare.
Brandon Spencer, of Coastguard Walk in Felixstowe, has been handed a football banning order and has been ordered to pay £710 following his sentencing at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on last Friday.
On December 19 last year, Spencer attended the Chelsea vs Newcastle United Carabao Cup fixture at Stamford Bridge, which is where the offences took place.
Spencer pleaded guilty to throwing a missile onto a football playing area and was ordered to pay £284 for the offence.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing a flare at a sporting event and was ordered to pay £426.
Spencer is not allowed to enter any premises for the purpose of attending any football matches for three years.
As well as the fines, Spencer was told to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
