Tickets to Royal Ascot, a London theatre break and an ITFC hospitality package are just some of the fabulous lots available to bid for now in the High Sheriff of Suffolk's Legacy Auction.
The online auction, organised by the High Sheriff Mark Pendlington in association with Birketts LLP, starts today (March 14) and will run until March 24.
All 21 lots, along with the website and online auction platform and any selling fees have been generously donated, ensuring 100% of funds raised go to directly benefit the High Sheriff’s Fund, managed by the Suffolk Community Foundation.
The Fund aims to address the many challenges facing people in Suffolk including bullying, homelessness, anti-social behaviour, knife crime and substance abuse.
Jonathan Agar, Chief Executive of Birketts LLP, said: "This inaugural Legacy Auction will undoubtedly make a huge difference to Suffolk’s charities, and as the main sponsor and through our prize donation of an Ipswich Town Football Club hospitality package, we are delighted to play our part."
The impressive array of lots also includes a week's self-catering accommodation for up to 16 guests at Inchnadamph House on George Vestey’s Scottish Estate, a London theatre break for two donated by official sponsor Chassis Cab and tickets to His Majesty’s Royal Ascot Meeting.
Other prizes have been donated by Greene King, The Jockey Club, Unruly Pig and many others.
Mark Pendlington DL said: "With your support, we will raise funds to allow us to help to build a stronger, more resilient community and help to change local lives for years to come."
Melanie Craig, Chief Executive of Suffolk Community Foundation said:“The work of the High Sheriff is so important in highlighting the fantastic work of the voluntary sector. We are extremely grateful to Mark for all he has contributed."
Lacy Scott & Knight have foregone their buyer’s commission and all auction lots will be listed on their online auction platform, along with a dedicated website donated by Logic Design.
