A man from Newmarket has denied attempting to strangle a girl in August last year.
Andrew Beard, 52 and of Bury Road, Newmarket, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday facing a charge of intentional strangulation.
He is alleged to have attempted to strangle a girl on August 5 last year.
Beard spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth, and to enter the plea of not guilty.
His trial is expected to commence on October 13 next year.
