A village nestled along the east Suffolk coast has been named one of the most relaxing seaside spots to visit.

Thorpeness has been ranked as the second most relaxing seaside destination in the country by UK Saunas.

The village is a short walk away from Aldeburgh and while the stone beach remains quite quiet all year round, it is the scenic views that attracts people to this part of the coast.

In 2023 it was revealed that Thorpeness was the most expensive place to buy a home in the county according to data from HM Land Registry.

Nearby and overlooked by the House in the Clouds is Thorpeness Meare.

The meare, which was inspired by JM Barrie's novel Peter Pan and the world of Neverland, is a great place to go and explore the small islands with even a crocodile hiding in the treeline.

The pretty pastel-coloured homes and businesses make the village one of the most picturesque places in the county.
