There is good news for rock n’ roll fans as The Buffalo Skinners announces its 2024 tour with a concert in Stowmarket in May.

The band will tour their new album Picking Up What You’re Putting Down, which takes inspiration from the 1960s and lively electric sound, across the UK.

Original band member Lawrence Menard also makes a return to the band, having last appeared in 2014.

East Anglian Daily Times:

Menard said: “Because we’ve spent countless hours playing music together, when the band sent their parts to me, I knew exactly where I would fit. I approached mixing the album in the same way that I’ve mixed in analogue studios.

“The aim was to ‘glue’ my parts, which I recorded in the US, in alongside the main tracks, and ‘put everyone in the same room as each other’ whilst trying to do justice to some of the iconic sounds of our favourite records. The album captures the exciting spontaneity that has always existed creatively within the band.”

The Buffalo Skinners began busking in Scarborough in 2010 and has since toured the world and performed at the likes of Glastonbury, Tramlines, and BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.

The band will play at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket on Friday, May 10.
