As the nights are starting to get longer, across Suffolk we are starting to see some stunning sunsets in the evenings. 

Here are five of the best places in the county to capture the perfect sunset photograph.

1. Woodbridge

Considered one of the best places to live in the UK, there are many spots in Woodbridge to see the sunset. 

Head to the banks of the River Deben to see the sun set behind the moored boats or admire the early signs of the evening from Sutton Hoo.

2. Holbrook

At Holbrook Creek you can take in the gradual panorama of the sky and river giving a stunning view as night draws in. 

Holbrook makes up part of the Shotley Peninsula which has many places to take in the sunset including Pin Mill and Alton Water.

3. Felixstowe

Many people head to the beach of Felixstowe to watch the sun set behind ships at the Port of Felixstowe.

4. River Alde

The River Alde flows from Snape Maltings all the way down to Orford Ness passing by the town of Aldeburgh.

A great spot for budding photographers is Iken Cliff or admire the sky over the water at Orford Quay.

5. Ipswich Waterfront

You can get stunning views of the sunset from Ipswich Waterfront as the River Orwell reflects the colour of the sky. 

One way to admire the sunset is by booking a table at a restaurant overlooking the river and enjoy a meal as the sun disappears and the stars come out.
