Drivers faced delays of up to 90 minutes due to a crash on the A14 this evening.
The crash closed lane three of the eastbound road near Newmarket, between junctions 37 and 38, just after 5pm on Wednesday.
Lane one was already closed for long-term roadworks, meaning traffic could only pass through lane two.
By 6.15pm the vehicles had been recovered and another lane had opened, allowing the congestion to begin to ease.
