Firefighters tackle blaze in bedroom in Bungay in Suffolk

Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze which broke out in a bedroom. 

Crews were alerted to the fire in Bedingfield Road in Bungay at about 7.15pm on Wednesday. 

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said nobody was seriously injured in the fire.

The fire was put out by 8.35pm but crews remained on the scene until midnight checking and dampening down hotspots. 

Appliances from Loddon, Long Stratton, Halesworth, Bungay and Lowestoft South were called to the incident. 

The East of England Ambulance Service was also called to the scene.
