The inquest into the death of a man who died after an incident at a factory in Hadleigh will resume in October, a court heard.

On Thursday, assistant coroner for Suffolk Mr Peter Taheri postponed the inquest into the death of Paul Davies, who died on March 9 last year.

The court heard that Mr Davies, 44, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, on February 22 last year after falling 12 feet through corrugated roofing at Hadleigh Castings Ltd in Pond Hall Road.

The court heard that Mr Davies had a severe traumatic brain and spinal injuries. He died on March 9 in Addenbrookes’ critical care unit.

Mr Taheri adjourned the inquest into Mr Davies’ death until October 1. The reason for this delay, the court was told, is that further evidence in the case is still being obtained.
