A new bakery and café is set to open in a former town bank tomorrow following a major facelift.

Two Magpies will be launching its tenth outlet - featuring its freshly-baked pastries, sourdough and cakes - in Framlingham's Market Hill.

It will be the group's biggest outlet to date at more than 3,000sq ft, and will include 50 covers. It will be open seven days a week from 8am to 5pm.

The site has been turned around and refurbished in just six weeks.

Two Magpies owner and chief executive Steve Magnall expressed his delight at the latest launch for the fast-growing chain.

“We are delighted to be opening another branch in Suffolk and expanding the Two Magpies family. We have received huge support from locals and visitors over the years and are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth opening,” he said.

The new site will offer a limited lunch and breakfast menu to start with. It will also be selling takeaway hot drinks, pastries, cakes and bread all made by the Two Magpies team.

Operations director Yasmin Wyatt said: “We opened two new sites last year and celebrated our tenth year. Now we’ve finally reached double figures with this latest opening!

“What really makes all the hard work worthwhile is reading the comments from both our present and our future customers every time we open a new bakery and cafe, they have always been so positive and supportive and Framlingham is no different.”

Two Magpies Group operates outlets in Norwich, Blakeney, Holt, Woodbridge, Wells-next-the-Sea, Beccles, Aldeburgh, Darsham, Southwold and Framlingham.
