Children and a woman have been threatened with a machete and a large knife after a spree of incidents.

The first incident took place yesterday, Sunday April 7, at 6.30pm in Elmhurst Park in Woodbridge when four males, one wielding a machete approached a teenage boy before fleeing the scene.

The second took place nearly two hours later at 8.10pm outside a kebab shop in Warwick Road, Woodbridge. 

In the second incident, two boys were approached by two men in a blue Ford Fiesta where they threatened the boys with a machete before driving away towards Edwin Avenue.

The final incident in Woodbridge took place at the skate park near Station Road 10 minutes later.

Here, a woman was approached by three men with one threatening her with a large knife before fleeing in a blue fiesta.

About 15 minutes later, after searching the area, police arrested two 19-year-olds and one 18-year-old by the roundabout on Foxhall Road in Brightwell.

The three were taken to Martlesham Police Station where they remain.

Suffolk Police are now appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting 269 of April 7.
