Two people have been arrested in connection with modern slavery and immigration offences linked to an address in west Suffolk.

On Thursday, April 11 officers executed a warrant at Summer Health Chinese Massage and Beauty at St Olaves Precinct in Bury St Edmunds in relation to Modern Slavery Act Offences.

Two female foreign nationals were at the site and safeguarded, but one of the pair was arrested on suspicion of an immigration offence.

Separately, a 37-year-old man was arrested at an address in Leicester on suspicion of slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour under the Modern Slavery Act.

He was taken into custody for question and was bailed to return to Bury St Edmunds on Thursday, July 11, pending ongoing investigations.
