A man from west Suffolk has been banned from the roads and ordered to pay more than £500 for drink driving.
Robert Dawson, of Carson Walk in Newmarket, was caught driving under the influence of alcohol in Blackpool in April last year.
The 55-year-old was driving a Ford Focus down Knowle Avenue in the seaside town when he was stopped by the police and was tested on the breathalyser.
He was noted to have 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, while the limit is 35 microgrammes, according to a court listing.
The case was heard at Suffolk Magistrates' Court in February, where the magistrates gave him a fine of £300.
Dawson was also ordered to pay £120 in victim surcharge and £105 for costs - bringing his total to £525.
His driving licence has also been disqualified for 12 months but this could be reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course.
The course would cost Dawson an additional £250.
